MEET THE OWNERS

JJ

Joseph “JJ” Siebrasse (Owner)

Co-Owner of Proven K9 Training JJ! After serving in the United States Army for 10 years, and spending 8 years working in corrections and serving with the Sheriff’s Reserve in Union County, New Mexico; JJ trained Proven K9 Training’s first official dog in July of 2012! He was instantly attracted to the working dog side of things. The ability to channel behaviors is something he dove into deeply and he has always enjoyed watching the changes PK9 makes in the dog and humans life. JJ’s favorite part about being a dog trainer is watching a dog’s “light bulb” moment when the training makes sense. JJ’s advice for dog parents is to have boundaries for your dog, show them what’s allowed and what’s not from the very start. Also a leash can change the world. JJ specializes in Behavior Modification and K9 Training. Last but not least, if JJ was a dog he would be a Malinios because they are super agile and were recently voted the most intelligent breed on the planet and these are the characteristics he aspires to achieve each day.

Tara Siebrasse (Owner)

Co-Owner of Proven K9 Training Tara! Tara is the one behind the scenes coordinating and scheduling EVERYTHING for Proven K9 Training! She built Proven K9 Training from the ground up side by side with her husband JJ, building programs and standards to give our dogs and their families the best service; ensuring families know their dogs are cared for! When you contact Proven K9 Training, odds are Tara is the one that will be guiding you through the process of finding the appropriate Training Program that suits your dog and your family. Tara’s favorite part about being a dog trainer is knowing that she helps dogs stay in home rather than shelters or rehoming. Tara’s advice for dog parents is to research the breed before you adopt and be prepared for the negative traits too, not just the positive! Last but not least, if Tara was a dog she would be a Newfoundland because they are cuddly and lazy and generally have a wonderful disposition!

MEET OUR STAFF

LAURENCE

LAURENCE

Laurence recently started as a kennel tech and apprentice trainer at our Amarillo facility! He has wanted to be a dog trainer since seeing his uncle work with high-performance military dogs as a kid! Laurance’s favorite part about working at Proven K9 Training is getting to witness dogs that risk being surrendered or euthanized, being trained instead and going on to have a good life at home! Laurance’s advice for dog parents is to do your research on the type of breed you have! Last but not least, if Laurance was a dog he would be a Boxer, because he loves to be a clown!
EMILY

EMILY

Emily started as a trainer at our DFW facility and has recently been promoted to Kennel Master! She decided to pursue this field after 8 years as a teacher because she has always had a passion for training and caring for animals. Her teaching experience has given her a ton of experience in identifying the teaching style suitable for the situation, for her dogs as well as their families. Emily’s favorite part about being a dog trainer is getting to love all the dogs and watching them think and learn. Emily’s advice for dog parents is to do your research! Learn the characteristics of the breed of dog you have (yes even mixed breeds) and you will understand your dog so much better! Last but not least, if Emily was a dog she would be a doberman because much like this breed she is tough and motivated, fiercely loyal, and a thinker.
SAMMIE

SAMMIE

Sammie works at our DFW facility where she started her journey as a kennel tech!
Sammie became interested in dog training after losing her job as an elderly caregiver due to the pandemic. She struggled finding a job that fulfilled her in the same way until she found dog training where she discovered she was able to use a lot of her caregiving skills to train dogs!
Her favorite part about working at Proven K9 Training is getting to grow a unique loving bond with each dog!
Sammie’s advice for parents is to truly get to know your dog! Take time to get to know your dog’s body language and what your dog is telling you through their behaviors.
Last but not least! If Sammie were a dog she would be a German Shepherd because they are super loyal dogs and protective over what they consider theirs. GSD’s are also sassy, short fused, high maintenance and easily annoyed. (She says her husband can vouch for this)!

CRISTIAN

CRISTIAN

Cristian has alway been interested in dogs from a young age and when he joined the military his dream was to be a K9 handler! After leaving the military he adopted a black german shepherd puppy and as he trained and worked with his dog he found his calling for dog training! Cristian came to Proven K9 Training after graduating Starmark’s extensive course, to complete an accelerated Proven Apprenticeship! Cristian has patience and experience to help those timid fur babies come out of their shell and gain confidence. His favorite part about working at Proven K9 Training is interacting with all the different dogs each with their own personality and figuring out what makes each dog tick and how to best help them. Cristian’s advice for parents is that training is so essential to your relationship with your dog. Whether you do it on your own or hire a trainer to help you. Your relationship with your dog will grow stronger and you will understand each other better. Last but not least! If Cristian were a dog he would be a Husky because they are loud, goofy, and all over the place!
JOSH

JOSH

Josh started his dog training journey at our DFW facility! He decided to pursue this field because he wanted a job that would be challenging and different each day! Josh has a knack for getting those high energy dogs focused and eager to work! In fact, his favorite part about being a dog trainer is the challenge of coming across a problem with a dog and having to dig through his metaphorical tool bag to find the solution! Josh’s advice for dog parents is to learn about your dog’s breed, the more you know about your dog’s breed the better equipped you’ll be to provide your dog with the structure and enrichment they need to have a happy life! Last but not least, if Josh were a dog he would be a real working line border collie out on a ranch herding livestock!
COLE

COLE

Cole is our full time kennel tech at our DFW location. He chose to be a kennel tech because he loves dogs and just wants to take them all home, and being a kennel tech is like having 20 dogs all at once but still having room to move at home! Cole’s favorite part of the job is getting to meet all sorts of breeds he’s either always wanted to see or has never ever heard of. Cole is very passionate about the level of care each dog receives, and takes the time to play with each one at some point throughout the day. Cole’s advice for dog owners is if you’re having trouble getting your dog to do anything make your desired outcome seem like Disneyland to your dog! You have to be the most exciting thing in the world for your dog to be interested in participating over staying where they know they’re safe. Last but not least, if Cole was a dog he would be a basset hound because they love naps!
JEREMIAH

JEREMIAH

Say Hello to the newest member of our DFW team Jeremiah! Jeremiah recently started as an apprentice to learn everything he can about dog training! So far Jeremiah’s favorite part of the job is getting to interact with all of the dogs! As a welder and a college graduate with his degree in computer technology Jeremiah chose to become a dog trainer purely for his love of dogs! Jeremiah’s advice for dog parents is to spend time with your dog but not to let them run your house. Last but not least, if Jeremiah was a dog he would be Akita because although he can be skeptical of new people he loves and protects his family fiercely.
Callie

CALLIE

Meet Callie! She is our Social Media Marketing Director! Callie is the one behind the scenes for all video editing, and runs all of our social media marketing. If you message one of our Social Media Pages, Callie is the one that will guide you through the process of finding the appropriate training program for your dog and your family. Callie’s advice to pet parents is research the breed, to ensure the dog is a good fit for your family. If Callie were a dog she would be a hound dog, and take lots of naps.
